RATS, RATS, RATS, RATS, RATS, RATS, RATS, RATS, RATS, RATS, RATS, RATS, RATS!

So...last night we heard all of these scraping sounds and I thought someone was breaking in. But like the missionary I am, I chose sleep over anything else, so we didn't check it out. But in the morning, we found out that a GIANT RAT got stuck in our trap, and it was STILL ALIVE! It was using its hind legs to scoot and jump around the apartment. So...we basically freaked and called the Elders to come save us. Elder Lewis stabbed it in the head with his pocket knife. He complains about coming over, but secretly he loved it :) 5 rats down...hopefully none to gInline image 1
This week we helped with the baptism of Isabelle Crissman. She is in a part member family, and although she is 8, and she wasn't technically ours, if it weren't for us, she wouldn't have gotten baptized. So we are happy! We are hoping to start working with their dad.

This week we had "Praise the Laud zone exchange day!" So we ALL went on exchanges, and I got to go with none other than Sister Abad! Flashback to my third transfer in the Naples Syrup zone. Sister Abad is the absolute best. She is from the Phillippines, and she is crazy. Straight up crazy. But we love her!
She also doesn't like to take good pictures.

This week we knocked almost all day every day. We are trying SO HARD to find people to teach. When we were on excanges, ater 3 hours of knocking, we wanted so badly to just give up, and then someone actually let us in! Her name is Amber, and when we said we were here to pray with her, she responded by saying "are you serious? I really need that right now." She let us right in and we taught the Restoration right then and there. She was amazed by EVERYTHING we said to her. She accepted baptism right then and there at the door. After 10 months of being a missionary, I had never had reception like that before. We left felling so blessed. So very blessed. Heavenly Father is in charge of this area! No doubt about it!

On Tuesday, we knocked for 3 hours in the sun, and we were exhausted, so we went to the park and oym'ed people and drew out the Plan of Salvation with chalk. We learned that it's probably not the most effective method of finding, but it was a nice change to our schedule!

We also saw a racoon there! And we found the most beautiful hidden lakes on earth. I love my FLORIDA!

And now for all of you weekly followers out there, Sister Haw's arm is looking lots better. We are having a bit of trouble knocking homes with dogs, and she still has 4 holes in her arm and one in her leg, but time will heal! She is having surgery on Friday morning to help with the scarring. Pray for her!
